BBC Studios’ new video podcast, The Girls Are Talking, brings together five distinct voices for candid, unfiltered conversations on everything from culture and identity to relationships, money and modern womanhood. I was approached to develop a full visual identity for the show, spanning logo design, typography, colour, key art and launch event branding.

As well as putting the shows together in an exciting animation, I animated each shows key artwork. One by one I bought the designs to life through soft realistic movement. This allowed a constant feel of rhythm to run through the entire trailer.
I was contacted by the Young Vic to create a visual trailer for their new Season of exciting productions. With a clear vision of how this would run, and the order of shows, I put together an animation which strongly aligns with their new brand guidelines. Utilising motion blur effects, and soft gentle transitions, it brings together a clear visual piece which visually resonates with the look and feel of the Young Vic.
The identity centres on the idea of potential—expressed through a soft, evolving mark that suggests growth, balance and progression. Paired with a clear typographic system, the brand creates a sense of structure while maintaining a human, approachable tone.

The brief called for an identity that felt culturally relevant, confident and sophisticated, while maintaining a youthful, playful energy that would resonate with a new generation of women.

Through concept development and experimentation, I created a bold typographic identity that balances personality with clarity, supported by a vibrant colour palette reflecting the individuality of each presenter. Fluid, expressive backgrounds bring these colours together, creating a flexible visual system designed to work across digital, social and physical environments.

The identity came to life at the show's launch event on 12 October, bringing together an audience of influential creatives and viewers. The result is a distinctive, energetic brand that captures the spirit of the conversations and establishes a recognisable presence across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music.
